Millennium Clock
The Town Council is responsible for the maintenance of the Millennium Clock which is located at the junction of Baldock Road and the High Street outside the Black Bull PH. It has three faces so it can been seen from all aspects.
As its name suggests, it was erected to mark the new millennium. The project was instigated by the Town Council and an appeal was made to the various businesses and clubs in the town for financial support. Many responded and greatly reduced the final amount that was paid by the Council.

Operated by the Relief in Need Charity, our famous one-handed turret clock is positioned over Angel Passage which leads from the High Street to the car park.
