Andy was born and raised in Troway, Marsh Lane. He attended Marsh Lane Primary School and Westfield Comprehensive. After leaving school he went to work for his Father in the family business as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor. For the past 28 years he has lived in the village of Ridgeway. He has been married 31 years and has two sons and 3 grandchildren.

Andy has been an elected INDEPENDENT Parish Councillor for Ridgeway, Marsh Lane and Troway for the past 20 years. He regularly attends Council and charity meetings and is the Chairperson for the Community Halls group in Marsh Lane.

Andy is also an active member of the community and as well as being a member of the Ridgeway Board of Management he works closely with the Marsh Lane TARA, Eckington Town Team and Eckington Focus Group.
