Christmas Market

Christmas Market

On Friday, 1st December, the annual Eckington Christmas Market took place on the Market street and inside the Civic Centre. There was a wide range of stalls and entertainment for both adults and children. Horse boxes selling food & drinks, stalls with hand-made products, popular cheeses or Christmas rides for the little visitors. In the afternoon, we had a special visit from a fairy who looked outstanding. Inside the Civic Centre, Santa and his helper Elf were giving the presents away to children.

Spoken to attendees and market holders, we were pleased to hear a very positive feedback. The overall enjoyment of this public social event bright up the festive atmosphere in our town. It reflects on how close community we have in Eckington Parish.

We must praise our hard working volunteers helping with the smooth running of this popular event, being there from early hours until late night. All managed by the market manager Lisa Baker, who is behind the successful day.

This year's Christmas market was a great success and we only hope that next year we can make it even better.
