Remembrance Service 2024

Join us on Sunday, 10th November for Remembrance Day service. It is a day when we honour armed forces members who have died in the line of duty during the First World War.

The Parade will form up on Fanshaw road/One Stop shop at 9am. Drummers will lead the parade, which will be formed by various groups. At 9:30am, the parade will set off to St Peter and Paul Church, Eckington for the service. Service is planned to start between 9:45-10:00am.

Following the church service, the congregation will walk to the War Memorial on Church Street for the Act of Remembrance and 2 Minutes Silence at 11am.

Refreshment will be served in church after the services have ended.

Please note, that rolling road closure will take place between 8:30 - 11:15am. Roads will be re-opening from 9:30am.
